The event "Open Streets - Bucharest, Urban Promenade" takes place over the weekend

During the two days, respectively on June 18 and 19, the spectators will be able to enjoy theater performances, instrumental recitals, folk and pop music concerts, percussion and rhythm performances, contemporary dance moments or children’s play workshops. .

The event “Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade” began in May this year and continues until October 2022. The event aims to culturally reactivate several areas of the city by transforming boulevards or main arteries into temporary pedestrian areas. The project is organized by the Capital City Hall through the Department of Culture, Education, Tourism together with ARCUB – Cultural Center of Bucharest, created – Center for Creation, Art and Tradition of Bucharest, PROEDUS – Center for Educational and Sports Projects of Bucharest – as by zonal operators.

Pedestrian areas and open streets, between 09:00 and 22:00, are Calea Victoriei between Victoriei Square and Splaiul Independenţei; Kiseleff Road between Arh. Ion Mincu Street and Monetăriei Street; Unirii Blvd. between Splaiul Independenţei and Dimitrie Cantemir Blvd. and between Dimitrie Cantemir Blvd. and Mircea Vodă Blvd. (direction to Alba Iulia Square); Camp Road between Ialomiţa Valley and Argeş Valley.

This weekend’s related events include the Extraordinary Charity Concert to Support Ukraine’s “Life Will Win”, which will take place in George Enescu Square on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., as well as the Food Truck Festival in Sector 6. on both weekends.

In addition to the traffic restrictions already in place for the “Open Streets” event, on the occasion of the Extraordinary Concert in Support of Ukraine held in George Enescu Square, only on June 18, new restrictions will be imposed, as follows: in the interval 16: 00-23: 00, road traffic will be restricted on Calea Victoriei between Str. Ştirbei Vodă and Dem I. Dobrescu Street, on Ştirbei Vodă Street between Calea Victoriei and Ion Câmpineanu Street; road traffic will be allowed on Episcopiei Street with the passage on Calea Victoriei to Ştirbei Vodă Street; between 16:00 and 23:00, road traffic will be restricted on B. Franklin Street, the perimeter between Calea Victoriei and Nicolae Golescu Street and on CA Rosetti Street between Calea Victoriei and Boteanu Street;

The diversion of the road traffic and of the means of public transport will be made on June 18 between 16: 00-23: 00 on Calea Victoriei in the area of ​​George Enescu Square between Ştirbei Vodă street and Dem. I. Dobrescu.

It will be allowed to cross from Episcopiei Street to Ştirbei Vodă Street. The diversion of the STB means will be made on Lutheran Street towards Dacia Blvd. until the Roman Square.
