Max Verstappen won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Ferrari drivers have given up

Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), holder of the title and leader of the drivers’ standings, won the Azerbaijani Grand Prix in Baku on Sunday, the eighth stage of the Formula 1 World Championship, in which the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), left the pole position, abandoned after 20 laps due to an engine problem.

Verstappen is the sixth different winner in six races in the Azerbaijani MP, Reuters notes.

Red Bull doubled its lead in Baku, finishing second to Mexican Sergio Perez, who won here a year ago. The podium was completed by the British George Russell (Mercedes), on the 4th position being his compatriot and teammate, Lewis Hamilton. On the 5th place went the Frenchman Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri), and on the 6th, the German Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin).
