The government signed with the local authorities the first financing from PNRR, amounting to 92 million lei

The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, signed on Tuesday the first seven contracts financed from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), selected within the “Renewal Wave” project call. These aim at rehabilitating and modernizing some schools and town halls, increasing energy efficiency and thermal efficiency of some administrative offices.

“Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă participated today in the signing of the first contracts financed from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, selected in the” Renewal Wave “project call.

These are seven financing contracts concluded between local public authorities and the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, amounting to over 92 million lei. These aim at the rehabilitation and modernization of some educational units and town halls, the increase of the energy efficiency and the thermal efficiency of some administrative headquarters ”, shows a press release.

The Prime Minister added that this call for projects is carried out in full transparency, in a digital system, offering equal funding opportunities to all local communities, regardless of region or political affiliation of the mayor, and citizens the opportunity to see how national public funds are allocated. and European. “I strongly support the extension of this model of good practice in the central administration. Between April 1, 2022 and May 30, 2022, 1,437 funding applications were submitted, which will benefit from a funding of 2.4 billion euros to ensure the transition to a green and resilient built fund.
