Participants in the administration, together with representatives of private companies will interact to find the best solutions for the development of cities, municipalities and communes through high technology, innovation and education. We all want to gain time and live a better life in the midst of a developing community and this can only be possible with the involvement of companies and the administration together with the citizens.
The event will be attended by ministers, mayors, county council presidents, local development and technology specialists, top representatives of private companies who together will provide a framework for debate to provide new information and solutions, to help overcome difficulties.
“A strong and developed Romania can only exist based on intelligent local communities, with solid principles, connected to the whole world and permanently open to innovation. Romanians in the Diaspora can be at home more often if they are permanently connected to their hometowns. Money from European funds or bonds can generate exponential growth through the power of the Diaspora to attract new investment from the countries of adoption, to innovate, to participate intensely in the planning of healthy development. “ – said Marius Bostan, the initiator of the Smart City Debates series (14 editions organized so far), serial investor, local development expert, former Minister of Communications and Information Society.
The event will also provide an overview of the state of local communities, their problems and what is to come in the coming years. The guests of the event will share ideas and solutions based on their expertise and will discuss how they can collaborate, so that we can all benefit from the immense opportunity that technology and funding offer us for the development of local communities.
Projects that are eligible for funding through European programs will be presented, as well as digitization solutions and sustainable mobility projects. It will also be discussed how to remove some barriers and speed up the decision-making speed of public authorities to adopt solutions, with priority given to the following verticals: Smart Mobility, Smart Utilities, Smart Environment, Smart Health, Smart Education, Smart Safety, Smart Business.
