More than 126,000 high school graduates have registered for the national Baccalaureate exam, June-July 2022 session. The exam begins on Monday with the skills assessment tests, scheduled for June 6-16.

121,454 high school graduates – 111,329 from the current promotion and 15,125 from the previous series – signed up to take the exams in full or in part, depending on the results obtained in previous sessions, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education.

Calendar of competency assessment tests for the Baccalaureate 2022:

  • June 6 – 8: Test A – assessment of the linguistic competences of oral communication in Romanian;
  • June 8 – 9: Test B – assessment of language skills of oral communication in the mother tongue;
  • June 8 – 10: Test D – assessment of digital skills;
  • June 14 – 16: Test C – assessment of language skills in a language of international circulation.

In 2021, 133,663 candidates registered for the Baccalaureate written exams, of which 114,137 were from last year’s promotion. In 2020, 155,639 candidates registered for the first session.

The assessment of the linguistic competences for the Romanian language, the mother tongue and the modern language, as well as the digital ones is made, for each candidate, by two examining teachers – the teacher who taught the respective discipline in class and another of the same specialty, from the unit. education, according to Agerpres.

If there are no specialized teachers in the respective educational unit who can be appointed in the Baccalaureate commission for the evaluation of linguistic and digital competences or they are incompatible, the examining teachers will be selected from other schools, said the Ministry of Education .

The results obtained by each candidate in the tests for assessing the linguistic competences of oral communication in Romanian, in the mother tongue and in a language of international circulation are not expressed by grades or qualifications admitted / rejected, but by establishing the appropriate level of competence, depending on national or European grids. Also, the results of the assessment at the digital skills assessment test are also expressed by establishing the level of competence, in relation to the European standards recognized in the field and in accordance with the provisions of the examination methodology.

If a candidate refuses to answer or solve the subjects proposed in one of the tests for the assessment of language and digital skills, it is considered that he / she has not taken the test.

The samples are audio-video monitored. Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination rooms with textbooks, dictionaries, notes, notes that could be used to solve the subjects or with mobile phones or any electronic means of calculation / communication. Failure to comply with the provisions regarding the introduction of prohibited materials in the examination room will lead to the elimination of the candidate, regardless of whether the prohibited materials have been used or not.

Representatives of the media institutions have access to high schools that organize language and digital skills assessment tests or to examination centers only with the approval of the chair of the committee and accompanied by a member of the committee, only before the start or end of the tests. For making specific materials – recordings, photos, taking pictures, etc. – the consent of the persons appearing in those materials is required.

The written tests from the first session of this year’s Baccalaureate exam start on June 20 with the exam in Romanian Language and Literature. The compulsory profile test is scheduled for June 21, followed by the profile and specialization choice test on June 22. The test in the mother tongue and literature will take place on June 23.

The first results will be displayed on June 27 until 12.00. For the submission of appeals, the time interval of 12.00 – 18.00 was allocated on the same day. The final results will be displayed on July 1.

The national Baccalaureate exam is considered to have been passed by high school graduates who meet, cumulatively, the following conditions: they have passed the competence assessment tests, they have passed all the written tests and they have been marked with at least 5 in each of them, obtaining at least the average. 6 in the written tests.
